This kid emails me a mono vocal and acoustic guitar track and asks what we might do to it.

So I 'embellished' it a wee bit.

The kids name is Thomas J Marchant and it's his song, I just played backup band. Again, we started with a single acoustic guitar and a lead vocal, both recorded in mono.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, we started on Wednesday evening this week and Finished it Friday night, so the mix is in no way commercial but it's still a fun one maybe for someone.

Sounds pretty midrange and super squashed.  Good experiment though.  I've had instances where I embelished on mastering, like adding a bass on a rap tune with no bass instrument of any kind.  Was it difficult to get things synced up to the original?

HI Bob..

No.. there was no external syncing per sey.. every instrument, sound, vocal and drum was created real time, from scratch, at the moment of playback of the original recording.. so I didn't synch, just tracked over..

Thanks for the thoughts..

Hey Max I thought you did a great job on adding to the song. I thought the drums were a little roomy for me,  but that might add to the feel of the song as well. But awesome job puttin on the P pants.
