If you missed a challenge in 2012, you can still mix a past challenge for moderator and member feedback. The Recording Institute of Detroit also posts practice sessions to help members learn and sharpen their skills. Submissions on the practice sessions will also be "graded" by an RID Instructor. (Note: this board will be fully functional by 1/20/13).

You're happy with the mix but need that final edge to compete with actual releases. Learn or sharpen your skills with our mastering challenges and get feedback on how the pros & other members would approach mastering a song.

Discuss mastering tricks, techniques and the softwear that you use for that final loud and clear sound.
