What I liked:
A great archiving deck for final mixes. The rewind/ff is super quick, and I love using the ID search function to find songs, as with any DAT player. The sound is great so far and I hear little to no noise. The standby button comes in very handy when you want to rewind and get it ready to play, but be in pause mode. This automatically does it for you. (It's the little things tha make me happy!) I love the renumbering function on this deck because sometimes the machine doesnt print the correct ID subcode number if it hasnt read the code from the song before it. This puts things out of order or sometimes doesnt give each track a number but I can go back an renumber the tracks using the renumber fu
What I didn't:
One extra locate point would be nice. Manual is a little muddy, but readable.
User Tips:
I dont know if tascam is still selling the DA-30 since the new models are out, but this is a great buy if you can find one on E-Bay or the like. Format your tapes first. This is not necesary but handy. I also use the 44.1K sample rate since that is what the industry is compatable wi
