What I liked:
Despite the lack of faders like the Wege has, this is still a great unit to have in your rack. All of the reverbs and delays sound great, and a lot of the presets are amazing. It has the same processor that the Wedge has, which is also a good unit. I am especially impressed with the reverbs since, like I mentioned, they all sound so lush and spacious. The control you have over it is amzing, with parameters like diffusion, pre-delay, high/low pass filters, and gates. And that's just for a reverb! As with the Quadraverb II and Wedge, there really isnt a room that you cant create on the Midiverb 4. I also like the autopan feature, and the leslie simulations are good. All parameters are easy to scroll through and edit.
What I didn't:
I dont like having to push two buttons for the bypass and compare functions, since you may hit one and not the other. The tap tempo delay button is a little hard to use since it is on the toggle wheel. Like the Wedge, the tap function is also a little slow, meaning once you use it to set a tempo, it will be a little off, so you have to adjust for that in your tapping. It would also be nice to be able to adjust the leslie effect more than just fast or slow. That way you could match it to your song's tempo.
User Tips:
Dont change programs without saving. However, you can shut this thing off and expect to have the same edited program.
