This is a large condensor, cardiod/hypercardiod microphone with a bass rolloff switch. It includes a attenuation switch.

What I liked:
The clarity it has. I've liked it on sax, flute, and some vocalists.
What I didn't:
Tends to be too bright on some vocals, mainly mine. I've had trouble getting a great acoustic piano sound with it. I didn't like buying it for what I paid and having the price drop $170 6 months later. Though it has been selling for just under $300, I've seen it for a low as $200.
User Tips:
Vocalists really need to shoot their song at an angle across as it is sensitive to the mighty s.
