What I liked:
This amp is stupidly loud. I've cranked mine open all the way on a clean setting and it didn't break up. My ears bled for days after that stupid move. There is not a better clean amp out there. The chorus is legendary. What goes in is what comes out, so it's a great platform for tube emulators such as the Sansamp stuff. I was able to get a better Marshall tone with a Sansamp and my Roland than my buddy did with his Marshall VS series combo. I pump both of my acoustics through this when I gig small (nylon and steel). I've also used it for keyboards, bass (very low level), and even vocals in a gig situation. For the money you can not go wrong. Used ones are going for $325 give or take.
What I didn't:
The distortion is completely useless. The thing weighs a ton. People are always wanting to buy it from me.
User Tips:
For recording, back off on the chorus. Unless you're using the track pretty far back in the mix, then the chorus is a great enhancement. If you don't have a tube amp, get a sansamp and mic the roland. Doing that gives a little more "real" sound than just doing sansamp alone.
